VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
FRIDAY NIGHT SNOWSPORTS PROGRAM
PROGRAM
COORDINATOR
Our Program Coordinators lead their community’s Snowsports Program, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. As a thank-you for their commitment, they receive a generous stipend toward their season pass.
Responsibilities include:
Promoting the ski/board club
Directing parents and students to online registration
Working with Mohan Staff to host informational meetings for students and parents
Answering program-related questions as they arise
Selecting and scheduling chaperones (often serving as Head Chaperone)
Coordinating the emergency driver team
Serving as the primary point of contact for the program during the Snowsports Season (required to be on the mountain Friday nights)
BUS
CHAPERONE
Bus Chaperones support our Program Coordinators by helping to check in and load students to and from The Summit. Chaperones also help ensure students follow bus rules and maintain positive behavior throughout the ride.
As a thank you, all Chaperones receive a complimentary evening lift ticket valid for the night they assist.
EMERGENCY DRIVER
The Emergency Driver supports student safety during our Friday Night Snowsports Program. Emergency Drivers are part of a two-person Chaperone team.
Responsibilities
Student Transportation: The primary duty is to safely transport students down from the mountain when they are sick or injured and unable to continue. This includes situations that don’t require ER-level care but still necessitate leaving the trip early.
On-Call Availability: Emergency Drivers are expected to remain on-site and available until all buses have departed for the day. This ensures that someone is always available if a situation arises.
Team Support: Each Emergency Driver is paired with another volunteer Chaperone. Solo volunteers may still participate by riding the bus and being on standby as backup drivers.
Coordination & Check-ins: Drivers must regularly check in with Ski Patrol and the Program Coordinator to stay informed about student health needs. All drivers are also required to check in and sign in at the Mohan Hut upon arrival.
Requirements
Driver’s License: A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
Insurance Coverage: Volunteers must carry liability insurance with minimum limits of $100,000/$300,000.
Snow-Ready Vehicle: Vehicles must be suitable for winter conditions and equipped with emergency supplies. A reclining backseat is necessary to allow sick or injured students to lie back safely during transport.
Communication and Reliability: Emergency Drivers must be responsive, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with program staff and fellow volunteers.
As a thank you, all Chaperones receive a complimentary evening lift ticket valid for the night they assist. Those who drive their own vehicle as the primary driver also receive a gas stipend.

Weekend
GREETERS
Our Weekend Greeters welcome students and families to the meeting area, track class locations, and facilitate communication between families and instructors. Greeters receive a complimentary ski voucher for the day as a thank you for their time!

We’d love to have you on the team!
You don’t need to be available for every program date to apply, just share your information and availability below. Mohan Staff or your Program Coordinator will reach out directly to coordinate. There’s no registration fee.
For Snowsports Program roles, applications are first reviewed by Mohan Staff before being passed along to the program you’re applying to. For all roles, please note that all policies regarding discount season passes and daily/evening lift tickets are ultimately determined by the Ski Area.
